Missing Children: Dynamics & Response (MCDR)

This FREE course offered by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is for all sworn law enforcement and 911/PSAP first responders such as patrol officers, detectives, telecommunicators, and investigators. We are looking for those who would be rapidly responding to the call of a missing or abducted child.

Some of the topics covered include:

  • Scope and scale of missing children incidents;
  • Sex offender typology;
  • Intra & inter-agency response; and, the
  • Need for pre-incident planning and available NCMEC resources.

These courses will be hosted in Alexandria, VA, at NCMEC headquarters in our Jimmy Ryce Law Enforcement Training Center (JRLETC).

The course is FREE TO ATTEND and NCMEC is covering the instructors’ costs and providing the needed course materials; however, NCMEC is unable to provide any financial assistance for travel, lodging or meals. All costs associated with attendee’s travel and meals are the responsibility of the attendee and/or their agency.
