Job Description / Responsibilities
Vinton, a town of 8,000 citizens, located in Roanoke County and adjacent to the City of Roanoke, is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.
Qualifications
Requirements: 21 years of age, non-smoker, good physical condition, high school graduate or GED; strong work ethic and commitment to public safety and service; must have strong commitment to becoming a contributing member of an outstanding team and department. Certified police officers with applicable college courses/degree preferred.
Selection process includes a variety of written & physical tests, interviews, polygraph and extensive background investigation. Minimum salary is $32,958.00 along with an excellent benefit package.
