Deadline extended for JAG Program funding under the Recovery Act of 2009

The Recovery Act Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Formula Program: Local Solicitation deadline has been extended. The new application deadline is 8:00 p.m. ET on June 17, 2009.
The Bureau of Justice Assistance, a component of the Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs (OJP), established the previous deadline of May 18 to encourage early submission of applications in an effort to provide economic stimulus as soon as possible. Because this is a non-competitive formula grant program, the extension of this deadline does not impact either eligibility or funding determinations.Click here for additional information on the Recovery Act JAG Program FundingRegular FY2009 JAG Program Funding applications are due by June 25, 2009 for state agencies and by July 9, 2009 for local law enforcement.
