Nominations Accepted for 2012 VACP/VPCF Awards

VACP Members are encouraged to nominate their officers for the 2012 VACP/VPCF Awards for Valor, Lifesaving and Outstanding Contribution to Law Enforcement. Nominations are due by Friday, June 1 and are open to any actions that occured prior to June 1, 2012 that have not previously been nominated. (See the nomination form for full details.)

The 2012 Awards will be presented in August at the 2012 VACP Annual Conference in Roanoke, VA.

Is Today Your Day?

The IACP has given the VACP permission to stream their video, Is Today Your Day?, a 23-minute training video to promote officer safety and reduce senseless officer deaths and injuries. Please show it to your officers and recruits to stress to them the importance of wearing their seat belt – both on duty and off.
