Needs-based Program Discounts

When funding is available, the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police and Foundation will accept applications for needs-based discounts / fee waivers from applicable law-enforcement agencies.  The scholarships are intended to increase the learning opportunities for Virginia's law-enforcement officers.  This resource is generally most applicable to small agencies (35 or less sworn force) or those agencies with limited resources and training budgets.  These discounts / fee waivers are only available for sworn law-enforcement officers employed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Federal officers and civilian personnel working in law enforcement agencies are not eligible.

Requests for needs based-scholarships are accepted, as funding is available, for the following leadership education and training programs:

First Line Supervisors Training

Institute for Leadership in Changing Times (ILCT)

Professional Executive Leadership School (PELS)

New Chiefs/Deputy Chiefs Training

Internal Affairs Investigators Basic Training
