Job Description / Responsibilities
Bridgewater College currently has a full-time position for Campus Police Sergeant.
Founded in 1880 with historic ties to the Church of the Brethren, Bridgewater College is an independent, co-educational, liberal arts college located in the scenic and historic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia; the quality of life is exceptional. The Sergeant of Campus Police reports to and assists the Chief of Campus Police in the administration of all services provided by the College Police and Safety department including, but not limited to, the campus police function, investigations, security function, crime prevention, special events, and campus parking enforcement.
Qualifications
Certification as a law enforcement officer by the Department of Criminal Justice Services, comprehensive background investigation and psychological analysis and minimum of 10 years as a law enforcement officer preferably with experience in higher ed. Valid VA driver’s license and High School Diploma or GED required.
