Job Description / Responsibilities
The City of Bedford Virginia Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of Police Officer. Duties include enforcing the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as ordinances of the City of Bedford. Applicants must pass a rigorous background investigation, a physical agility and written aptitude test, a psychological and physical examination.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age;
- U.S. citizen;
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Possess a valid Virginia driver’s license with a good driving record;
- No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude or domestic violence;
- Good physical condition;
- Vision must be 20/20 corrected or 20/60 uncorrected.
