Chapman, 30, of Chilhowie, was originally listed in critical condition at Bristol Regional Medical Center but was upgraded yesterday to stable but serious condition.

Bristol offers technology to help track disabled family members

BRISTOL, Tenn. – A growing number of family members are burdened with the frightful prospect that loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or similar disorders will wander away.

It’s an issue that continues to be addressed by a local law enforcement partnership called Project Lifesaver of Bristol.

In 2006, officers from the Bristol Tennessee Police Department and the Bristol Virginia Sheriff’s Office started the project.

Drunk Driver Critically Injures VSP Trooper on Interstate 81

A Virginia State Police trooper remains in the hospital Saturday after having been struck and severely injured by a drunk driver Friday night (Feb. 1, 2008) on Interstate 81 in Southwest Virginia.

Citizens Weigh In on La Crosse Police Department
