Neither officer is injured in separate incidents in Chesterfield and Henrico
A Virginia State Police sergeant and a senior trooper escaped injury yesterday when their police cars were sideswiped in separate incidents on Interstate 95.
The pair were ticketing motorists for speeding on the heavily traveled highway.
In both incidents, motorists failed to heed a Virginia law that requires drivers to move to the left lane, if possible, but to at least slow down when troopers have pulled onto the highway shoulder during traffic stops.
