Manassas to hear presentation on ICE
February 15, 2008 | Virginia News
The Manassas city council will hear a detailed presentation on Feb. 25 concerning the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Department of Homeland Security on the subject of the Immigration & Customs Enforcement 287(g) program.
Immediately after the presentation, the council will likely vote on whether to authorize police Chief John Skinner to sign the MOU. The version being submitted to DHS, which would still have to approve it, will serve as a broad-ranging tool to fight illegal immigrant criminal activity in the city.
