SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - San Francisco supervisors have OK'd a program to give ID cards to illegal immigrants.
San Francisco's ID program is patterned after one in New Haven, Connecticut, and is designed to help people get access to services and feel safe dealing with police. New York and Miami are considering plans, but San Francisco is the largest city to have ID for illegal immigrants.
