Waynesboro police officer’s literacy program reaches milestone

Waynesboro Police Officer Mark Kearney’s literacy effort in the Waynesboro Schools reached a milestone on Monday when he passed out to students the 10,000th book, donated by Townsend Press.
Kearney, the founder of The Book ’Em literary festival, has been issuing books, including nonfiction and those from Townsend Press’ Bluford Series novels, for the past several years.
