VIDEO: Case Analysis of the Murder of Richmond Police Officer Michael Connors and the Parole of His Killer

Morgan Wright sat down with VACP Executive Director Dana Schrad and Miles Turner to discuss the case of Officer Connors' murder, the decision to grant parole to his killer, and the efforts underway to review and reverse that decision.
On November 13, 1979, Office Michael Patrick Connors, Richmond, VA Bureau of Police, was brutally executed with 5 shots to the head and neck by Vincent Lamont Martin. Martin is a career criminal with previous convictions for armed robbery with a sawed-off shotgun, and attempted murderer. Three months after being granted parole on the robbery, Martin shot and killed Officer Michael Connors. Now, the Virginia Parole Board says Martin is no longer a threat to society, one year after denying him parole because he still was a threat to society. Why is a convicted cop killer being freed? Did the Parole Board lie about their reasons? Join Morgan Wright as he discusses this with Miles Turner, who's been following this case for 40 years, and with VACP Executive Director Dana Schrad who is involved in the efforts among law enforcement supporters to have the parole decision reviewed and reversed.
