Funeral Arrangements Announced for Retired Buena Vista Asst. Chief Phillip "Jay" Patterson

Patterson served the Buena Vista community for 32 years before he retired in 2014. He continued his law enforcement career for an additional seven years with the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Police Department in Lexington, where he achieved the rank of sergeant before leaving late last year.
The funeral arrangements for Retired Assistant Chief Phillip “Jay” Patterson will take place on Sunday February 20, 2022 at 2pm Parry McCluer High School 100 Bradford Road, Buena Vista, VA 24416. 
 
The family welcomes all that would like to attend, to include all area Law Enforcement, Communications, Fire and Rescue Squads personnel.
