This symposium shares critical life stories and success strategies from first responders, as well as concepts for handling the needs of the field from leaders in the industry.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
This event takes an intensive look at the stresses from a career in public safety, including the law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedic, mental health worker, social worker or the spouse of those in these fields.
Who Should Attend
The event is designed for all first responders, public safety, mental health, social workers, and the spouses of those working in these career fields and will address issues such as compassion fatigue, suicide and the real struggles of PTSD within our professions.
Strategies / Resources
We will talk about effective strategies and resources to successfully combat these and other epidemic topics.
Line Staff / Command Staff
Line staff and Command staff are encouraged to attend in order to develop personal strategies for success and be able to recognize when a co-worker may be battling an issue and to learn how to change the culture in their organizations.
Clinician Support
Due to the difficult and complex personal experiences as well as the difficult topics discussed during the event, we will have the support of Peer support members, clinicians, and Chaplains available to talk with attendees and provide assistance in coping with personal stressors.
In-Service Training
This event is eligible for in-service training, continuing education credits, or contact hours for attendees seeking to fill their requirements. For additional information about training credit hours please use the below contact list based on your career field:
