The goal of the 2019 National Threat Assessment Conference for Educational Institutions is to reach across the nation to enhance the understanding of behavioral threat assessment, the laws surrounding information sharing, research, the need for a multi-disciplinary approach, and most importantly, the need to build trust and solid processes to prevent future violence and aid those on a pathway to violence. We want to share what we have learned in our implementation of these teams in K12 public schools and institutions of higher education with other states who are considering such implementation.
