REVIVE! for First Responders Instructor Training and Certification Course
This training is open to first responders only.  There is no cost to attend!

Successful completion of this training course is required to become a Certified Trainer of the REVIVE! for First Responders Basic Rescuer Training.  Participants must actively serve as a first responder in the Commonwealth of Virginia and have up-to-date CPR certification.

The training objectives are to increase understanding of opioids, the physiological effects of opioid overdose, risk factors for opioid overdoses and fentanyl exposure, how to respond to an opioid overdose emergency with the administration of Naloxone, the role of public safety in the opioid crisis, and Virginia laws relating to naloxone and safe reporting of overdoses.  This training also includes the administrative requirements to conduct REVIVE! trainings.

This is a live, interactive virtual training.  Participants must connect to the training using both audio and video.  This training program is approximately 2.5 hours long.  For more information, please contact A.J. Starke at Ajstarke@vachiefs.org.
