The Virginia Law Enforcement Symposium is a two-day training program being conducted in partnership with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.  This symposium is open to ALL law enforcement and will be approved for partial in-service credits.
 
Agenda

• Successful Prosecution of DUI/DUID Cases (2 hrs Legal)
• Advancing the Traffic Stop
• Human Trafficking
• Cannabis Laws & Successful Investigations into Illegal Shops
• Proven Roadway Safety Countermeasures in Rural Communities
• Small & Rural Agency Crisis Response and Case Studies / (OR)
  Role of Law Enforcement Culture in Officer Safety During Driving & Roadway Operations

 
Symposium Information
The training will be held July 24 & 25, at The Wytheville Meeting Center, located at 333 Community Blvd, Wytheville, VA 24382.  The conference registration and check-in begins at 8:00 am on Thursday, July 24, 2025.  Training begins at 8:30 am on Thursday and concludes at 3:00 pm on Friday.
 
Registration Fee
The cost to attend is $75 and includes breakfast, breaks and lunch on both days.
** DMV Highway Safety Grant Recipients: Confirm with grant monitors the authorized use of current highway safety grant funding to pay for attending this training. **

Registration Cancelation Policy
If cancelation is received before July 10th, you will be eligible for a refund.  No refund will be granted for any withdrawal notice received on or after July 10th.  No-shows are not eligible for refunds; however, qualified substitutions are gladly accepted with prior approval.
