The VACP and VACLEA Winter Conferences have been scheduled jointly to provide the opportunity for networking between the two organizations. The conference will last two full days and there will be one conference rate.
Conference Highlights:
The Aurora, Colorado Theater Mass Shooting – A Case Study and Lessons Learned: Doug Abraham, Chief of Police (retired), University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, and Commander Mike Dailey
Commander Dailey’s presentation will cover many of the steps the shooter took to prepare for his assault, his department’s response and investigation and the creation of the department High Risk Extraction Protocol.
Chief Abraham’s presentation will discuss the impact of this off-campus event on the campus community. The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has revamped preparedness in its entirety from its policies to drills and exercises.
