Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police
After nearly a year of unprecedented physical and verbal attacks on our law enforcement profession, continuous demands for police reform and change, and shrinking numbers among our sworn ranks and applicants, the role women play in our profession has never been more important. Greater numbers of women leaders, at all levels of the organization, are needed to help develop new pathways and policies to advance a culture of professional policing in Virginia.
Join the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police for a special half-day of training on the challenge’s women LEOs face in our profession and how to plan and compete for future success. The training will cover topics such as:
- How to develop your experience and build your resume while doing what you love!
- Where to put your time and effort to become competitive for command level leadership (Check the boxes!)
- How to deal with professional challenges and roadblocks
- Developing a system of supporting, guiding, encouraging and recruiting others through mentoring and networking events
The training session will also feature a panel of Virginia women law enforcement executives who will discuss their unique paths to success, the challenges they encountered along the way, and their advice to those aspiring to lead.
: The cost to attend is $50
Single/Double $96 (plus taxes) per night at the Hilton Hotel and Spa - Short Pump
