The Virginia Law Enforcement Symposium is a two-day training program being conducted in partnership with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.  This symposium is open to ALL law enforcement and will be approved for partial in-service credits.
 
SYMPOSIUM AGENDA (Approved by DCJS for 11.5 hours in-service credit, including 2 hours Cultural Diversity.)

 
Symposium Information
The training will be held September 26 & 27, at The Virginian Hotel located at 712 Church Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504.  Conference registration and check-in begins at 8:00 am on Thursday, September 26, 2024.  Training begins at 8:30 am on Thursday and concludes at 3:00 pm on Friday.
 
Registration Fee
The cost to attend is $75 and includes breakfast, breaks and lunch on both days.
** DMV Highway Safety Grant Recipients are authorized to use current highway safety grant funding to pay for attending this training. **
 
How to Register
If you are currently a member of the VACP, OR are a non-member police chief, OR have registered for an event with us previously, please LOG IN to your VACP website account to register for this event.  If you have forgotten your username/ password, DO NOT create an additional account, please contact audrey@vachiefs.org for assistance.

Registration Cancelation Policy
If cancelation is received before September 10th, you will be eligible for a refund.  No refund will be granted for any withdrawal notice received on or after September 10th.  No-shows are not eligible for refunds; however, qualified substitutions are gladly accepted with prior approval.

Hotel Block Close Date
Room reservations will be available until September 4, 2024.  All rooms remaining after that date will be returned to general inventory for sale to other groups and/or individuals. Any reservation requests received after the cut-off date are not entitled to receive the group rate and are on a case by case basis dependent upon availability.
