Curriculum & Testing Specialist/Lead Instructor
Assists the Assistant Director for operations in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining all criminal justice curricula, programs, and written and performance based tests. Is responsible for satellite facilities curriculum, testing, and DCJS standards working with direction from the Deputy Director.
Maintains mandated and non-mandated curricula in all phases of the Academy's training programs.
Works directly with the Assistant Director as the Lead Instructor as needed for all basic Level Training.
Prepares and maintains, written performance-based tests from approved test banks as applicable to various Academy courses.
Serves as primary test proctor as required.
Keeps abreast of all current Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services rules and regulations governing curricula and mandated training.
Maintains student testing files.
Assists Deputy Director with all satellite facilities and performs site visits (as needed)
Develops and writes training announcements to be distributed to members and nonmember agencies.
Develop, research, and proof lesson plans and test to ensure the DCJS sub-objectives are covered.
Performs other related duties as required.
