Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required
Education Required: Associate’s degree or higher, or 60 credits toward a degree; or high school diploma or equivalent with training, coursework, and relevant experience that equates to the degree or college credit requirement. Applicants must have current/active Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Basic Law Enforcement (BLE) certification, to include successful completion of DCJS-approved field training. Valid driver’s license with clear driving record.
Experience Required: Previous experience as a law enforcement officer.

Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.
Graduate of law enforcement leadership training course or workshop.
Experience Preferred: Law enforcement experience in an institution of higher education. Previous experience in supervision and/or program oversight.
Previous experience in criminal investigations.
