Administrative Assistant / Accreditation and Special Events Coordinator
The Town of Farmville is accepting applications for an individual to perform a variety of duties with the Police Department as Accreditation and Special Projects Coordinator. At the direction of the Chief of Police, develops policy and procedural documents and administers special projects as needed. Requires Associate’s Degree or combination of high school and experience and ability to obtain VCIN certification. Applicants must pass a full background check.
Typical duties include
- Coordinates and maintains accreditation files and proofs of compliance, using Microsoft Office and State of Virginia specific software
- Prepares detailed spreadsheets,
- Assists in preparing, submitting, and coordinating grant documents
- Deals with materials of a confidential nature.
- Assist in planning Community Policing Events for events
- Prepares newsletters and other informational documents for publication or social media
- Administers special projects as needed
- Assists with input of summons and parking tickets into records management system
