Chief of Law Enforcement Services - VADOC Headquarters
The Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) is recruiting highly qualified and motivated applicants for the position of the Chief of Law Enforcement Services. This position is responsible for leading the Office of Law Enforcement Services (OLES) and managing investigations of alleged criminal behavior impacting the daily operations of the largest state agency in the Commonwealth.  As a unit head, the Chief of Law Enforcement Services will join a collaborative team of leaders working together to manage agency-wide public safety issues.

OLES includes a statewide professional staff of more than 60 sworn law enforcement officers and a large support team of criminal intelligence analysts. The focus of the OLES is on mitigating potential criminal conduct, conducting drug investigations, investigating alleged administrative violations of agency policy and procedure by employees, and preventing the introduction of contraband into correctional settings. Reporting to the Deputy Director for Administration, who serves as the VADOC's chief law enforcement officer, the Chief of Law Enforcement Services will be responsible for ensuring OLES's daily compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations; adherence to law enforcement best practices in investigations; and enhancing public safety in Virginia.
