Special Conservator of the Peace
We are currently seeking highly motivated and skilled personnel to join our team. As a Special Conservator of the Peace, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within our jurisdiction. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to serving the community.
Responsibilities: Patrol designated areas to detect and prevent crime Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed Conduct investigations and gather evidence for criminal cases Write detailed reports documenting incidents and activities Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other security personnel Provide excellent customer service to the community and stakeholders

Skills: Must be a certified Special Conservator of the Peace (SCOP) in the state of Virginia Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or the military is required Must pass a background check, drug test, and a psychological evaluation Must be able to obtain, and maintain, a valid Special Conservator of the Peace license/certificate (VA DCJS 99 - ) Knowledge of CPR and first aid procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and make quick decisions under pressure Ability to handle firearms safely and responsibly Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
