Chief of Police
The City of Bristol, Virginia (pop. 17,219) is seeking applications for the position of Chief of Police. The Chief of Police reports to the City Manager.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Criminal Justice related field preferred. Successful candidates must possess at least 15 years’ experience in related law enforcement with administrative and progressive management experience in law enforcement or public administration. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be used to meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Virginia law enforcement certification, or eligibility for certification, required.
