VACP College Scholarship

The application deadline is April 1, 2019
[Scholarship Application will be posted by February 2019]

"Knowledge is a Powerful Thing"
The Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police and Foundation acknowledges the support police officers give their communities. In recognition of this, we offer the VACP College Scholarship Program for dependant children of active law enforcement officers employed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

This is a needs-based partial scholarship, and the amount of the scholarship award varies. This scholarship is not available to dependant children of federal law enforcement agencies or civilian personnel working in police agencies.

Prospective applicants should carefully read the “Qualifications, Requirements and Procedures” section of the application.  Applicants should be sure to fully answer all questions on the application form and provide the necessary documentation. Applications received will be reviewed by the VACP Scholarship Committee, whose decision shall be final.

The completed application and required documents must be postmarked by April 1 and submitted to:
Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police
880 Technology Park Drive, Suite 100
Glen Allen, VA 23059

Scholarship recipients will be required to submit a brief questionnaire and picture of themselves. These items may be used on our web site and/or in articles written about our scholarship program. Submission of your application implies consent to the use of your image and information as previously stated.
