The goal of the Virginia Association of Property & Evidence Professionals (VAPEP) is to promote education and training and increase the level of professionalism of personnel associated with the proper collection, preservation, storage, processing and disposal of property and evidence through cooperation and sharing of information with individual agencies.

VAPEP Membership
There are two classifications of membership:

General Membership is open to those individuals involved in the processing and retention of property for criminal justice agencies within the state of Virginia on an individual basis.

Associate Member/Corporate Membership is open to those individuals indirectly involved with the property and evidence function, for or on behalf of, criminal justice agencies; or individuals directly or indirectly involved in the property and evidence function who do not work or reside in the State of Virginia. Associate/Corporate members shall not have the right to hold office or vote.
Currently, all memberships are no-fee and are valid from January 1 through December 31 of each calendar year.

The Virginia Association of Property & Evidence Professionals (VAPEP) is an affiliate organization of the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police. The VACP acts as the management agent of VAPEP.
