McLaurin to Retire as Chief of Virginia Port Authority Police; Snow Appointed as Successor

The Virginia Port Authority Police Department extends heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Chief Mona McLaurin, who will officially retire on December 30, 2025 after a distinguished career of service and leadership. She served five years as chief and 11 years overall with VPA PD. Chief McLaurin’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to safety have left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire generations of officers and staff.
The VPA PD also warmly welcomes Chief Jason Snow as Chief McLaurin's successor. Chief Snow was sworn in as chief this week after 24 years of dedicated service. Starting as an officer, he has risen through the ranks to lead the department. His experience, vision, and commitment will help VPA PD continue their mission of safety excellence and public trust. Over his career, Chief Snow has earned the Life Saving Award and graduated from the FBI National Academy.
