DMV Thanks Virginia Mobile ID Law Enforcement Partners; Looks to Integrate E-Summons

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) extends its sincere appreciation to the law enforcement agencies participating in the pilot to accept Virginia Mobile ID. Your willingness to test and provide feedback on this new technology is helping shape the future of secure, efficient identity verification in the Commonwealth.

One of the most common questions DMV receives from its law enforcement partners is how Virginia Mobile ID will integrate with electronic summons (e-summons) systems. DMV is actively exploring e-summons integration and is working with several vendors to ensure Virginia Mobile ID acceptance can align with your existing systems.

DMV’s goal is to work with all e-summons vendors so every agency can integrate mobile ID acceptance seamlessly into its current processes. DMV is asking law enforcement agencies to complete a brief survey to let them know which e-summons vendor your agency uses.
